Hyundai Elantra












The Hyundai Elantra is one of the most beautiful offerings in the D-Segment. The car was unveiled during the 2010 Busan Motor Show and has been designed using Hyundai’s fludic design philosophy. It is available in seven different variants and with both petrol and diesel engines. Both mills get the option of an automatic gearbox. The interiors include features like front ventilated seats (first in class), automatic climate control and rear audio controls, of which the last one is subtle indicator that Hyundai has squarely aimed the car at the Chauffer driven class. The Hyundai Elantra currently competes with vehicles like the Toyota Corolla, Skoda Laura, Volkswagen Jetta and the Chevrolet Cruze.

Hyundai Neo Fluidic Elantra CRDi Base
The manufacturer has equipped all the diesel versions with a 4-cylinder, DOHC based 1.6-litre, CRDi diesel engine that comes with a displacement capacity of 1582cc. It has the ability to produce 126.3Bhp at 4000rpm that yields 259.9Nm between 1900 to 2750rpm. This engine is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox that sends the power to the front wheels and returns 22.7 Kmpl. This base trim is equipped with innovative features like a dual zone fully automatic temperature control, cluster ionizer, rear AC vents, a 2-DIN music system with radio CD/MP3 player, steering with remote audio and Bluetooth function, electrically adjustable external mirrors, folding key with key less function and burglar alarm, sliding front center armrest with storage, power windows with driver side up and down function, glove box cooling, tilt and telescopic steering, one touch triple turn signal, and Eco driving with manual transmission shift indicator. This variant also comes with advanced safety features like dual front airbags, anti lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution system, rear parking sensor, impact sensing door lock, clutch lock and a rear defogger with timer.

Hyundai Neo Fluidic Elantra CRDi S
This is the mid range trim and it comes with features like electro chromic rear view mirror, front fog lamps, smart key with push button start and retractable outside mirrors with heated function. Apart from these, all the other features are similar to those equipped in the Base variant.

Hyundai Neo Fluidic Elantra CRDi SX
The car maker is offering this variant with practical features like auto cruise control, 10-way power adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, front seat ventilation, leather seat upholstery along with solar glass for windscreen and doors. It is also equipped with side and curtain airbags, electronic stability program, speed sensing auto door lock, vehicle stability management and automatic headlight control. The remaining features are same as those in the 'CRDi S' variant.

Hyundai Neo Fluidic Elantra CRDi SX AT
This is the top end diesel variant and it comes with all the aspects that are standard in the CRDI SX variant. However, the company has coupled this engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox and has equipped a few additional features like hill start assist control, supervision cluster and ECO indicator with automatic transmission.

Petrol Models
Hyundai Neo Fluidic Elantra S
All the petrol variants of this Neo Fluidic Elantra have been fitted with a DOHC based, 1.8-litre dual VTVT petrol power plant with a displacement capacity of 1797cc. It can develop a mammoth power of 147.5Bhp at 6500rpm, while generating 177.5Nm at just 4700rpm. The car maker has mated this engine with a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox that sends the torque to the front wheels. On the other hand, this 'S' petrol trim comes with all the safety and comfort aspects that are equipped in the CRDi S variant.

Apart from the petrol engine, this variant has been blessed with the same features that are given to the CRDI SX variant.

Hyundai Neo Fluidic Elantra SX AT
This variant comes with utility based functions like supervision cluster, Eco indicator with automatic transmission, and Hill start assist control. In addition to these, its engine is mated with a six speed automatic transmission gearbox. The rest of the features of this trim are same to those offered in the 'SX' variant.


Mileage
The impressive and performance packed 1.6-litre diesel engine has been tuned to churn out a remarkable fuel efficiency, which is one of the most important aspect for the Indian populace.
