HONDA MOBILIO

AS expected Honda launched a new SUV car Honda Mobilio for giving compition to maruti suzuki ERTIGA,Renault DUSTER and Ford ECO SPORT.This upcoming Honda Mobilio is expected to be available with both petrol and diesel engine options for the customers to choose from. The petrol variant is most likely to be equipped with an advanced 1.5-litre, i-VTEC engine that is further incorporated with electronic fuel injection system. This engine runs on a SOHC valve configuration, which enables it to produce a minimum mileage 14.3 Kmpl in city traffic, while producing a maximum of 17.8 Kmpl on highways. On the other hand, there are rumors going round the market that the company may also offer the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine option as well, which makes it more competitive. It is capable of delivering a mileage in the range of 16 to 18 Kmpl, which is quite decent. The diesel variant will be offered with powerful 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine, which is the most fuel efficient motor in its class. This engine has the ability to produce a minimum of 21 Kmpl under standard road conditions and it goes up to 25.8 Kmpl on highways, which is remarkable.

Power of Honda Mobilio
As said above, the petrol version is expected to sport a 1.5-litre engine that displaces 1497cc. Despite of having 4-cylinders and 16-valves, it runs on the single overhead camshaft valve configuration that reduces the wastage of power and improves the performance. This petrol mill is capable of producing a maximum power of about 117.3bhp that results in developing a peak torque of 145Nm, which is quite good. Market experts also believe that the company may also offer a 1.2-litre, which is capable of producing 86.7bhp that results in a peak torque output of 109Nm, which is quite decent. The diesel version will sport a 4-cylinder, DOHC based i-DTEC engine that displaces 1498cc. It belts out a commanding power of 98.6bhp in combination with a good torque output of 200Nm.
Acceleration & Pick-Up
The petrol version is most likely to be powered by an 1.5-litre engine that is paired with a five speed manual gearbox. Rumors also suggest that the car maker may also offer CVT automatic transmission option for the buyers. Both the manual and automatic versions enable the vehicle to reach a top speed of approximately 150 to 160 Kmph, which is quite good. On the other hand, it takes about 13 to 14 seconds to breach the 100 Kmph mark from a standstill. This MPV might also come with a 1.2-litre, i-VTEC petrol engine , which is capable of achieving a top speed in the range of 145 to 155 Kmph, while breaching the 100 Kmph mark in around 15 seconds. The diesel version should be coming in with a 1.5-litre, i-DTEC engine, which is powerful and fuel efficient as well. It is expected to be paired with 5-speed manual gearbox that enables the vehicle to reach a top speed of approximately 165 Kmph. On the other hand, this vehicle touches a 100 Kmph mark from a standstill in just a matter of 14 seconds.

This upcoming vehicle has an eye-catching body structure as the other vehicles from the company's fleet. The automaker has designed this four-wheeler with the same body platform that is used for Honda Amaze. To start with its front profile, it comes fitted with a curvy headlight cluster, which is incorporated with powerful halogen headlamps and turn indicators. It surrounds a smiley shaped radiator grille that is fitted with a thick applique, which is treated with chrome and embossed with company's badge. The front bumper has an urbane structure with sleek air dam and a fog light consoles. Coming to the side profile its B and C pillars have glossy black finish, while the door handles and ORVM caps are in body color. As per the information available, the top end versions will be offered with a set of 15-inch alloy wheels whereas the base and mid levels trims are expected to get conventional 15-inch steel wheels. Its rear profile has a large windscreen, which has black sash tape inside. The top end versions are expected to get features like defogger, rear wiper with washer and so on. The taillight cluster is powered by high intensity lamps and courtesy lights. The tailgate is quite large and has a lot of chrome inserts in the form of company's logo and model lettering.

The interiors are expected in a two tone beige and black color scheme. The dashboard is in black color and is further embossed with metallic inserts. It is said to be equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system, instrument panel and an AC unit. It seems to have a three spoke steering wheel that has metallic strips along with a chrome plated company's badge. The seats covers might be in fabric, whereas, the third row seat is expected to have a fully folding facility, which should help to increase the luggage space. It is expected to come with several utility aspects like cup holders, a large glove box unit, bottle holders, sun visors and an inside rear view mirror.
